Fin Planning and Evaluations Analyst

Reporting into the Management Reporting and Compliance Manager, the Fin Planning and Evaluations Analyst role is to provide budgeting, forecasting and analytical processes to support WesTrac to achieve financial goals and business strategy. This role will create active partnership with both operations and management and provide financial planning, decision support to ELT.

 

 

Roster:  Mon – Fri 8.5 hours per day (including unpaid meal breaks)

Location: South Guildford (PDC), WA

 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support strategic business goals
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to provide decision support and drive financial outcomes across the organisation
  • Analyse and interpret monthly financial results, delivering insights and reports to the Commercial Manager
  • Coordinate and project manage a team of Business Partners and Management Accountants to deliver consolidated budget and forecast outputs
  • Develop and maintain tools, timelines, and processes for monthly, quarterly, and long-term financial planning
  • Support the creation of complex, multi-department business cases and strategic initiatives
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance reporting, analytics, and operational efficiency
  • Influence executive-level decision-making through strategic financial insights and performance commentary

 

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, or related discipline; CA/CPA certified
  • Minimum 5 -10+ years’ post-qualification experience, including business partnering in large, complex organisations or Big 4 Audit
  • Strong background in public practice and technical accounting, with experience using enterprise-wide Financial Planning and Appraisal tools
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and ability to manage and interpret large, complex datasets from multiple sources
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a sharp eye for detail and commercial insight
  • Proven ability to lead and support change initiatives that drive operational excellence
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within high-performing teams
