Due to internal progression, we are currently looking for a Customer Support Manager to join our Sales team. Reporting to the Mining Business Manager, this individual will be responsible for the effective day-to-day Account Management of designated Customers, ensuring the execution of the Sales Mining Strategy.

 

The Customer Support Manager (Site Based) is responsible for the overall ownership of the customer site relationship and execution of the aftermarket sales strategy at a site level. The Customer Support Manager (Site Based) plays a critical role in capturing opportunities and managing these through to conclusion. This role is integral in ensuring continued aftermarket sales growth. The role is also responsible for ensuring the performance of assets to deliver the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) at a site level.

 

The ideal applicant will possess exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, sound business acumen and demonstrated influencing abilities. Our mining department are an integral link to our customers and to achieve our vision of being the customer’s first choice in equipment solutions we are searching for passionate, high performing and driven people.

 

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Roster: FIFO, 8/6 roster

Location: Kalgoorlie Goldfields Region, flexibility to travel to Perth as necessary is required.

 

To be successful the following is required:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, engineering, or Trade Qualification, with a minimum 5-year post qualification experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Understanding of Heavy Mining Equipment ‘Total Cost of Ownership’ modelling.
  • Proven communication, relationship development & negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated individual that can demonstrate the ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously.
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines.
  • High level of initiative and problem-solving skills with the ability to follow through with required actions.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Caterpillar product knowledge and / or knowledge in the heavy equipment industry desirable.
