Component Exchange Coordinator

Reporting to the Component Sales Supervisor, the Component Exchange Coordinator will join our Parts Exchange (PEX) team on a 12 month contract at our South Guildford, WA location. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service as the primary point of contact for PEX component sales while ensuring effective supply chain coordination to meet customer requirements and minimise equipment downtime.

 

Department Overview: Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) Our 24/7 PDC holds 75K Cat® product lines, shipping 300K lines/month. We use the DEMATIC system for 18K+ small parts, and provide rack and yard storage, hose-building, parts inspection, pick-packing, and customer pickups with multiple WMS for accurate deliveries

 

Roster – 5 Days, Mon - Fri, 8.5 Hrs/Day (inc meal allowance)

 

What You'll Do:

  • Manage customer component exchange orders and coordinate supply to meet required delivery dates.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and key customer contacts to support component sales growth.
  • Monitor component availability, identify supply risks early, and implement alternate solutions where required.
  • Facilitate regular customer meetings and provide reporting on supply chain performance and backorder management.
  • Collaborate with sales, warehouse, workshop, branch, and interstate teams to identify alternative component solutions and maintain customer supply commitments.
  • Review customer agreements and open backorders to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and optimise inventory utilisation

 

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in customer service, parts coordination, sales support, logistics , or supply operations.
  • Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office and inventory/warehouse management systems.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience with parts sales processes or logistics operations is beneficial.
  • High attention to detail when managing high-value transactions.
