Commercial and Contracts Manager

WesTrac is on the lookout for an experienced Commercial and Contracts Manager to join our team in WA. The role is responsible for a wide range of commercial sales contracting activities relating to tender opportunities, contract development, negotiation and post award management.  

 

Location: South Guildford, WA

Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5 hours/day (including meal break)

 

What You'll Do:

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Lead and mentor a team of specialists in the management of an assigned portfolio of contracts.
  • Collaborate with sales teams on tender responses and contract negotiations.
  • Consult with the legal team on commercial and contractual matters.
  • Review and develop contract terms and scopes of work for various products and services.
  • Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks and opportunities.
  • Oversee post-award performance management for high-value agreements.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Undergraduate or ideally a postgraduate degree in engineering, business, or related fields.
  • Proven track record in contract management and high-value contract execution.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret and draft advanced contractual concepts.
  • Experience in leading high-performing teams and inspiring others.
  • Strong initiative, problem-solving, attention to detail, and advanced communication skills.
  • Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels.
