WesTrac is seeking a dedicated Commercial and Contracts Manager to join our team.

 

The role is responsible for commercial negotiations and execution of sales contractual agreements across Western Australia and leads a small team in the management of an assigned portfolio of contracts.

 

Using a collaborative and engaging approach, the successful candidate will be able to build and maintain professional relationships, while using their extensive background in contract negotiation and management to provide support, recommendations, and challenge on commercial and contractual matters, resulting in optimal outcomes for the business.

 

Location: South Guildford, WA

Roster: Monday – Friday

 

What You'll Do:

  •  Live the Values - Leads by example everyday through actions, behaviours and decisions
  •  Internal and external customer relationships up to manager level and engagement in related forums.
  •  Collaboration with the sales teams for the management of tender responses and contract negotiations.
  •  Engage with the legal team to proactively consult on commercial and contractual matters.
  •  Manage and oversee the review and development of contract terms and scopes of work for a variety of products and services.
  •  Identification of commercial and contractual risks, opportunities and provision of management recommendations. 
  •  Deployment of post award performance management and governance activity for high value/risk agreements.
  •  Provides leadership and guidance to the team and ensures compliance and upkeep of systems and processes 

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education/Certificates
    • An undergraduate degree in engineering, business or related fields. A postgraduate degree is preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge
    • 10 years’ experience in contract management, within a similar industry and/or with demonstrated experience in the establishment and execution of high value contracts.
    • 5 years’ experience with leading high performing teams, and the proven ability to inspire and motivate others, through interpersonal relationships.
    • High level of initiative and problem-solving skills with the ability to follow through with required actions.
    • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret and draft advanced contractual concepts.
    • Advanced communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal.
    • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain internal and external customer relationships at all levels.
