Are you a commercially driven sales professional with a passion for the mining industry? Do you thrive on building long-term partnerships and delivering value to major customers? WesTrac is seeking an experienced and motivated Mining Account Manager to join our Western Australian team.
Reporting into Mining Business Manager, the Mining Account Manager will join our team on a full-time basis at our Guildford Location. This role involves managing and growing a portfolio of key mining accounts across WA. You’ll drive capital equipment sales, including mobile plant and fleet solutions, while identifying opportunities in aftersales, technology and service agreements. As a trusted advisor, you’ll build strategic account plans that support customer production, cost and asset‑lifecycle goals. This role suits someone with strong commercial skills, technical understanding and the ability to manage complex, high‑value sales cycles.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with customer operational and capital investment strategies
- Drive capital equipment sales opportunities, including fleet expansions and equipment replacement programs
- Lead high-value commercial negotiations, tenders, and contract discussions
- Identify and grow aftersales, service, and technology solution revenue streams
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships within major mining organisations
- Coordinate closely with internal sales, parts, service, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and project pipelines within WA’s mining sector
- Achieve revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction targets
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in capital equipment sales within mining, heavy equipment, or industrial sectors
- Strong background in strategic account management and complex B2B sales environments
- Demonstrated success managing long sales cycles and high-value transactions
- Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- The ability to influence stakeholders at operational and executive levels
- A customer-first mindset with a focus on long-term partnership development
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- The ability to travel throughout Western Australia as required
