Mechanical Fluid Lead Analyst

Reporting to the Laboratory Operations Manager, the Fluid Analyst / Admin Team Leader is responsible for the analysis of customer fluid sample results to provide appropriate recommendations to the customer which will lead to improved operational efficiency of the customer’s componentry, resulting in an extended life span of the asset.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse customer fluid sample results and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and extend asset lifespan.
  • Oversee a team of 8 direct reports, including 5 Mechanical Fluid Analysts and 3 Administration Staff.
  • Lead the Admin Team with work priorities and Customer support.
  • Provide coaching, training, and task distribution to team members.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries regarding analysis reports.
  • Elevate customer queries through Zendesk, providing further clarity and liaising with other WesTrac personnel as required.
  • Collaborate with the SOS Business Development Specialist to identify and support customers needing additional training or resources.

 

Experience and Qualifications needed to be successful:

Education/Certificates:

  • Mechanical trade certificate with 5 years’ post-trade experience.
  • Strong computer literacy skills, particularly in MS Office.

 

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience leading a team.
  • Previous experience with CAT systems.
  • High level of attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously.
  • Previous experience in machine maintenance and reliability
