Reporting to the Mechanical Fluid Lead Analyst the Mechanical Fluid Analyst is responsible for analysing and interpreting fluid sample data to assess the condition of lubricants in mobile machinery and other equipment in various industries. The Mechanical Fluid Analysts’ expertise in oil analysis techniques and knowledge of machinery operation will play a role in providing insights to support maintenance decisions, improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime. Their interpretation skills will help to provide appropriate suggestions to the customer which will lead to improved operational efficiency of the machinery, resulting in the overall optimisation of the asset.

 

Additionally, the Mechanical Fluid Analyst is responsible for acting as a point of contact for customer enquiries regarding the analysis report, providing further clarity for the customer and liaising with other WesTrac personnel where required.

 

Location:  South Guildford, WA 

Roster: 5/2 with possibility of going to a 8/6 roster

 

To be successful the following is required: 

  • Mechanical trade certificate with post trade experience OR relevant industry experience
  • Previous experience with CAT systems is considered highly desirable
  • Professional level of computer literacy and data entry skills
  • Demonstrated experience with customer service
  • High level of attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks
