IT Systems Engineer
Guildford, WA, AU
Make your mark in enterprise IT
Are you an experienced Systems Engineer who thrives in complex environments and enjoys solving problems that truly matter?
We’re looking for an IT Systems Engineer to play a key role in keeping our enterprise infrastructure running at peak performance. Reporting to the IT Systems Engineering Lead, you’ll bring deep technical expertise across core platforms, cloud and data centre infrastructure — ensuring reliability, scalability and continuous improvement across the business.
This is a hands‑on role where your ideas, expertise and initiative will directly influence how our systems operate today and how they evolve tomorrow.
Location: South Guildford
Roster: Mon-Fri 8.5 hours per day (including lunch break)
What you will do:
No two days are the same — you’ll be trusted with real responsibility and meaningful work, including:
- Keeping our enterprise virtualisation platforms (vSphere, Hyper‑V) highly available and resilient
- Managing and optimising Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, including licence governance
- Supporting and improving shared infrastructure services such as storage, backups, monitoring, identity and messaging
- Designing, deploying and maintaining data centre infrastructure that supports critical business operations
- Acting as a trusted technical expert for complex incidents, problem resolution and infrastructure improvements
- Analysing trends in incidents and working with the Service Desk to lift capability and first‑call resolution
- Creating and maintaining clear, practical documentation including Disaster Recovery Plans
- Partnering with internal teams and external providers to deliver sustainable, secure system changes
What you will bring:
You’re a confident, driven infrastructure professional who enjoys both hands‑on technical work and collaborating with others.
You will need:
- A tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or a related field
- Around 5+ years’ experience in infrastructure or systems engineering roles
- Strong experience across Azure, Hyper‑V and VMware vSphere
- Proven ability to support enterprise‑scale systems in a high‑availability environment
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
- Microsoft Azure and M365 certifications (or actively working towards them)
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with Dell infrastructure or Pure Storage
- PowerShell scripting capability
- Additional Azure or M365 certifications
Why you will love this role
- Work on enterprise‑scale, business‑critical systems
- Be part of a collaborative, highly skilled IT team
- Influence infrastructure strategy, not just maintain it
- Grow your career with exposure to modern cloud and hybrid environments
- Make a real impact on how the business operates every day
