Join WesTrac's Diggers & Drills Support (DDS) team and become the technical expert supporting CAT® drill fleets across Western Australia.

The DDS team is a dedicated product support division that provides aftermarket support to the growing population of Cat® Drills and Hydraulic Mining Shovels across WA. Through our regional branch network, site support technicians and product specialists, we deliver specialised hands-on technical support, maintenance expertise and breakdown response to help customers maximise equipment performance and uptime.

Reporting to the Drills Supervisor, you'll provide advanced troubleshooting, maintenance support, shutdown planning and technical guidance to customers and site teams. Acting as the link between WesTrac and our customers, you'll help drive equipment reliability, performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Roster

  • Various Roster options Inc – 8/6 & 2/1
  • 12-hour shifts

 

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose and resolve complex drill equipment issues
  • Support preventative maintenance, shutdowns and breakdowns
  • Provide technical input into maintenance planning
  • Mentor technicians through on-the-job training
  • Deliver specialist support across multiple clients & mine sites

 

About You

  • HD Mechanic trade qualification
  • HR Licence
  • 10+ years post-trade mining experience
  • Strong CAT Drill product knowledge preferred
  • 5+ years OEM/CAT dealership experience preferred
  • Advanced hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead customer maintenance teams
