HSEQ Specialist

Are you an experienced HSE professional with an improvement mindset and project management exposure? We are seeking a proactive HSEQ Specialist – Projects to join our team!

 

This role will be responsible for implementing Health and Safety (HSE) initiatives to improve WesTrac’s WA Health and Safety performance, focusing on project delivery.

 

Location:  South Guildford, WA

Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5-hour days (including meal break)

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing HSE initiatives with project management disciplines.
  • Building relationships with stakeholders to support HSE program development and implementation.
  • Understanding and application of legislative frameworks that support project initiatives.
  • Providing regular project updates and tracking performance.
  • Leading policy and procedural reviews for new initiatives.
  • Collaborate with NSW HSE team for continuous improvement.
  • Delivering and updating Safety Leadership Programs and training materials.
  • Identifying new HSE initiatives through data analysis.
  • Providing technical support for specific projects.

 

To be successful the following is required: 

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
  • Extensive project management experience
  • Internal/Lead Auditor qualification (desirable)
  • Maintain a strong field leadership presence and ability to support positive safety culture changes
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across a diverse workforce
  • Advanced time management, planning, and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication, and public speaking skills
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite
