HSEQ Specialist Projects

Are you an experienced HSE professional with an improvement mindset and project management exposure? We are seeking a proactive HSEQ Specialist – Projects to join our team!
This role will be responsible for implementing Health and Safety (HSE) initiatives to improve WesTrac’s WA Health and Safety performance, focusing on project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing HSE initiatives with project management disciplines.
- Building relationships with stakeholders to support HSE program development and implementation.
- Understanding and application of legislative frameworks that support project initiatives.
- Providing regular project updates and tracking performance.
- Leading policy and procedural reviews for new initiatives.
- Collaborate with NSW HSE team for continuous improvement.
- Delivering and updating Safety Leadership Programs and training materials.
- Identifying new HSE initiatives through data analysis.
- Providing technical support for specific projects.
Location: South Guildford, WA
Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5-hour days
To be successful the following is required:
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
- Extensive project management experience
- Internal/Lead Auditor qualification (desirable)
- Maintain a strong field leadership presence and ability to support positive safety culture changes
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across a diverse workforce
- Advanced time management, planning, and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication, and public speaking skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite
