HSE Advisor

Reporting into the HSE Manager, the HSE Advisor will join our Safety, Security and Risk department on a full-time basis at our South Guildford office.

 

This role involves providing technical, behavioural, and leadership coaching to front-line management in health, safety, and environment, as well as delivering essential training.

 

Roster: Monday to Friday, 8.5 hours per day (including meal break)

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure compliance with WesTrac’s HSE management system through coaching and mentoring of leaders and workgroups
  • Support and facilitate incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Promote health and safety policies, analyse hazards, and ensure control measures are effective
  • Identify training needs, deliver Toolbox talks, and assist with WesTrac Safety Training Programs
  • Attend Pre-Shift Instruction (PSI) meetings and demonstrate strong field leadership in HSE

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a similar HSE advisory role
  • Advanced computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
  • Experience with WHSMS software and databases
  • ICAM (or similar) Lead Investigator certification and root cause analysis experience
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including public speaking
  • Solid understanding of WHS legislative frameworks
  • Experience developing and delivering training to large groups (desirable)
