Fitter Machinist

Reporting into the Hydraulics Supervisor, the Fitter Machinist will join our Hydraulics Department on a Full-Time basis at our South Guildford, Perth, WA location. This role will involve overhauling, repairing, and manufacturing replacement components including hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic pumps, and pump drives, operating machinery and performing general workshop duties, working collaboratively in a team environment, and maintaining a strong focus on safety.

We provide comprehensive solutions to ensure the efficient operation of hydraulic machinery, focusing on safety, reliability, and performance. Our team of skilled technicians and engineers is dedicated to delivering high-quality service and support, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to meet the needs of our clients across various industries.
Roster: 8 On, 6 Off, days & nights – 12.5 hours/day (including 30 minute lunch break)
What You’ll Do:
- Operate a manual Horizontal Borer, Mill and/or make manual lathes
- Prioritise workload effectively and strive for customer satisfaction
- Focus on safety and use safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's
- Read engineering drawings and produce quality work within quoted tolerances and time frames
Skills & Experience:
- Australian recognised First-Class Machinist OR Certificate 3 In Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of how to set and use gauges such as callipers, bore micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
- Experience in operating Horizontal boring machines
- Strong time management skills and basic computer skills
- Experience in reading engineering drawings and producing quality work within quoted tolerances and time frames
- Forklift, rigging and dogging licenses (Desired)
