Fitter Machinist - Hydraulics

Reporting into the Repairs Supervisor, the First Class Machinist will join our Hydraulics team on a Full-Time basis at our South Guildford, Perth, WA location. This role may involve Fitting hydraulic cylinder components at times.

 

Department Overview: Our Hydraulics Department specialises in the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of hydraulic systems and components. We provide comprehensive solutions to ensure the efficient operation of hydraulic machinery, focusing on safety, reliability, and performance. Our team of skilled technicians and engineers is dedicated to delivering high-quality service and support, utilising advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to meet the needs of our clients across various industries.

 

Roster: 8 On, 6 Off, days & nights – 12.5 hours/day (including 30 minute lunch break)

What You’ll Do:

  • Operate Manual Horizontal Borer, Lathes, Polishing lathes.
  • Focus on safety and use safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's
  • Read engineering drawings and produce quality work within quoted tolerances and time frames

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Australian recognised First-Class Machinist OR Fitter Machinist Trade Certificate
  • Knowledge of how to set and use gauges such as callipers, bore micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
  • Experience in operating Horizontal boring machines
  • Strong time management skills and basic computer skills
  • Experience in reading engineering drawings and producing quality work within quoted tolerances and time frames
  • Forklift, rigging and dogging licenses (Desired)
