Reporting to the Project Support Supervisor, the Heavy Diesel Mechanic will provide onsite technical maintenance and repairs on all traditional Caterpillar Fleet.

Be part of a busy and diverse team whilst gaining and developing your experience and knowledge on CAT machinery and systems. You will be conducting scheduled maintenance, shutdowns, planned and unplanned component change outs, attending breakdowns and much more.

 

These permanent roles will see you working autonomously as well as part of a team providing ongoing customer support on a variety of our new Caterpillar Hydraulic Mining Shovels, Surface Drills, Haul trucks and Ancillary equipment.

 

Location: Various client sites that includes MRL, Roy Hill, BHP, FMG ect... 

Roster: Variety of rosters available that includes (2/1, 14/14, 7/7 ect.)

 

Essential Criteria

  • A Mechanical Trade Certificate and proven post trade experience with CAT equipment
  • A range of experience across drills, diggers, ancillary & traditional surface mining equipment
  • A positive attitude towards safety and exposure to safe work practices and systems
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
  • A passion for learning new skills
  • The ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Current Forklift Licence
  • Australian Driver's Licence + HR Licence
  • Elevated Work Platform
  • Dogging & Basic Rigging
  • Working at Heights, Confined Spaces
