Employee Relations Business Partner

The Employee Relations Business Partner provides strategic and commercial employee and industrial relations advice across the full range of ER/IR activities and is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of our Employee Relations team.

 

Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5 hours/day (including meal break)

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership of the Employee Relations team, including capability development and case allocation.
  • Manage the employee relations framework, including processes, policies, and documentation to effectively handle employee performance issues, misconduct, and grievances.
  • Offer specialist advice and oversight on complex matters related to the employee/employer relationship
  • Represent WesTrac at the Fair Work Commission, Australian Human Rights Commission, legal courts, and other legislative councils as required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree qualified in Law, HR, IR, or related disciplines.
  • Significant experience in employee relations.
  • Strong expertise in workplace and industrial relations, including interpreting employment legislation and enterprise agreements.
  • Experience in advocacy before industrial relations bodies (e.g., Fair Work Commission).
  • Proven experience in managing end-to-end IR/ER processes with a focus on providing commercial and pragmatic solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
