Your new role as the Drill Fitter reports into the Drill Supervisor

 

Location:  FIFO - Relocation available / will pay for Interstate travel

 

Hourly Rate: $55 - $90 an hour - Dependent on EXP

 

Roster Option: 8 days on, 6 off OR 14 days on, 7 days off OR 14 days on, 14 days off 12.5hrs (Inclusive 30min meal break)

 

What you'll do:

  • The Drill Fitter is the link between the Customer, Westrac and Caterpillar for all Drill technical product information, documentation, and continuous improvement concepts 

  • Pro-actively assist with Drill preventative maintenance schedules, maintenance teams for planning work scopes and trouble shooting.

  • Maximise operation and product reliability on the fleet of Caterpillar blast hole drills

  • Technical reporting and product instruction/training strategies to improve drill product knowledge to the wider work group.

  • Accountable to increase the all-round performance, reliability, and availability of the designated drills. 

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel or Mobile Plant Mechanic Trade certificate

  • Previous experience within field service or mine site environment

  • Demonstrate technical aptitude and experience on surface blast hole drill rigs

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel various mine sites

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships.

  • Strong communication skills and a dedication to safe work practices

  • OEM or dealership experience is advantageous.
