Due to continuous Growth, Our Machine shop team is seeking an experienced Crank shaft grinder machinist to join our team.

 

About this Role:

Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the Crank Shaft Grinder Machinist will be responsible for operating Crank shaft grinder to polish and/or Grind crankshafts to CAT specifications. We are looking for a confident, self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail. As a Machinist, you will have a key focus on safety with an ability to prioritise workload effectively and strive for customer satisfaction.

 

 Location: South Guildford, Perth, W.A

Roster: Monday to Friday, 2 Weeks Day Shift, 2 Weeks Night Shift Roster (10.50 hours per day) 

 

To be successful the following is required:

  • Australian recognised First-Class Machinist OR Fitter Machinist Trade Certificate is essential for this role
  • A positive attitude with aligned core WesTrac SPARC values of safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect and Customer.
  • Experience in Grinding/Polishing CAT C175, 3500 series or similar size Crank shafts is necessary
  • Use of safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's
  • Experience in reading engineering drawings and producing quality work within quoted tolerances
  • Forklift, rigging and dogging licenses are advantageous or willing to obtain
  • Strong time management skill
  • Basic computer skills
