Reporting into the National Contracts Manager, the Category Specialist will join our Procurement team to lead strategic initiatives and drive performance improvements across high-volume procurement activities.

 

This pivotal role is focused on delivering exceptional commercial outcomes and enhancing operational efficiency.

 

Location Options:

  • South Guildford, WA
  • Tomago, NSW

 

Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5-hour days (Including half-hour meal break)

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and maintain a strategic overview of industry trends
  • Collaborate with supply partners to monitor and review contract KPIs
  • Lead strategic planning initiatives to transform the category
  • Ensure contract compliance and assess vendor performance

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Category Management, or a related field
  • Strong background in contract lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of advanced sourcing strategies
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with SAP ARIBA or similar ERP systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Industry experience in mining, construction, forestry, infrastructure, manufacturing, or engineering (desirable)
