Our Procurement department is seeking a Category Specialist to spearhead the establishment of our new ‘Tactical’ procurement team. As the inaugural Category Specialist – Tactical, you will play a pivotal role in the design and establishment of ‘tactical sourcing and contract management’ for WesTrac in WA and NSW/ACT.

 

This role has been purposefully created to achieve our vision of great commercial outcomes and increased efficiency within source-to-contract and post-award contract management for high-volume moderate-complexity procurement that is critical to our success.

Location: South Guildford, WA

 

Roster: Monday - Friday, 8.5-hour days

 

To be successful the following is required:

  • A tertiary qualification in the areas of Procurement, Supply Chain, Category Management or relevant discipline
  • Significant post qualification experience in a mining, construction, forestry, infrastructure assets, manufacturing, engineering, or a related industry
  • Proven experience in contracts (full contract lifecycle), procurement, compliance and quality environments
  • A proven understanding of advanced contracting and sourcing concepts
  • High attention to detail, ability to analyse problems and provide appropriate solutions to mitigate commercial risk and improve value to the business
  • Ability to work successfully within both a team and autonomously
  • Previous exposure to SAP ARIBA or a similar ERP system.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
