Business Improvement Advisor

As a Business Improvement Adviser, you'll report to the Operations Area Manager – SE&I and lead continuous improvement initiatives with both internal and external stakeholders. Using Lean principles, you'll ensure the effective identification, documentation, and implementation of process improvement projects.

 

Roster:  Monday – Friday, 8.5 hours per day (including unpaid meal breaks)

Location: South Guildford, WA

 

What you’ll do:

  • Live the Values: Lead by example through your actions, behaviours, and decisions.
  • Process Improvement Project Management: Drive and manage improvement projects.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement (CI): Promote the use of CI within the operational areas and support, coach and mentor CI champions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure ongoing business success
  • Ensure improvement progress and outcomes are communicated to all levels
  • Collaborate and define best practices and procedures
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Perform RCA for any quality issues or process slippage

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of business process fundamentals
  • Excellent demonstrated communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with all stakeholders of various levels
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously.
  • Advanced computer literacy skills - MS Suite and Web-based applications
  • Lean process exposure
  • Demonstrated experience in the identification of and actioning of improvement initiatives

 

Previous experience we find successful in the role:

  • Trade Qualifications – highly desirable
  • Experience working in a large organisation
  • Experience within a Project Management or Business Improvement role
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
