Where numbers meet complexity — and accuracy matters
Are you an accountant who enjoys digging into data, solving discrepancies and ensuring financial accuracy in a complex environment? We’re looking for an Accountant who thrives on detail, systems and collaboration to help safeguard the integrity of a large and diverse inventory portfolio.
This is a hands‑on accounting role with real impact. You’ll work closely with operational and finance teams to ensure parts inventory is accurately captured, reconciled and reported — supporting confident decision‑making across the business.
Why this role stands out

Location: South Guildford

What you’ll be doing:
- Owning key parts inventory reconciliations and supporting month‑end close activities
- Analysing inventory movements, adjustments and transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Investigating variances between source systems (DBS) and SAP and driving timely resolution
- Preparing insightful mid‑month and month‑end reports to support finance and operational stakeholders
- Partnering with operational teams to strengthen data quality and financial controls
- Responding to and resolving inventory and finance help desk queries
- Maintaining clear process documentation and supporting audit readiness
- Contributing to process improvements across Finance Operations
What you’ll bring:
You’re curious, analytical and highly organised. You enjoy working with large data sets, understanding how transactions flow through systems and working with others to resolve issues.
You’ll also have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline
- 3+ years’ experience in accounting, including time in a large or complex organisation
- Experience in internal and/or external audit environments
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Strong reconciliation and data analysis capability
- Experience with Power BI or reporting tools (highly regarded)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
What’s in it for you?
