Plant Mechanic

Reporting into the Workshop Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic will join our Gudai Darri Branch on a Full Time Basis. This role involves supporting all Caterpillar products within the surrounding area through the Gudai Darri workshop.
This role is centred around Quality Control, a significant aspect of this position involves hydraulic hose work, including making and changing hydraulic hoses. In addition to hose-related tasks, you will conduct machine inspections leveraging your HD trade skills will also provide opportunities to service and perform minor repairs on a large CAT fleet of production and ancillary equipment, beyond the core QC and hose inspector duties.
Roster options:
8/6 - 8 days on, 6 days off (12 hours each day plus 30 mins. break)
Location: Gudai Darri - FIFO
Skills & Experience:
- Australian recognised Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate.
- Pervious hose experience
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
- Strive to assist the Customer to achieve machine availability and reliability KPI’s.
- Caterpillar equipment experience
