Reporting to the Superintendent, the Heavy Diesel Mechanic will play a vital role in delivering successful outcomes from several key areas of focus.
The Heavy Diesel Mechanic at this site is required to carry out servicing, trouble shooting and general maintenance repairs and component change outs across a fleet of 793F autonomous haul trucks, 6040 / 6060 hydraulic mining excavators, 992 / 994-wheel loaders, D10 / D11 track type tractors, 789 autonomous water carts, MD6250 / 6310 rotary drills and various Caterpillar ancillary equipment.
Location: Gudai Darri, Newman - Progressive site with high-tech gear including autonomous
Roster: FIFO from Perth - 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights, 7 off, 12.5 hrs each day (inc. 30 mins unpaid break)
To be successful the following is required:
• Australian-recognised Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate or equivalent.
• Sound maintenance and repairs experience with Large Trucks, Loaders, Dozers and Graders.
• Previous experience performing fleet audits on a mine site.
• Previous working product knowledge with Caterpillar products is highly desired.
• Exposure to SAP and related systems in collaboration with site planners.
• Confidently process warranty claims and deliver monthly reporting.
• Ability to provide continuous improvement on process and surplus stocks.
• Prior Field Service or Regional Mine site experience maintaining similar fleet type is highly
desired
