About the role

WesTrac is seeking both experienced Field Service and Workshop based Plant Mechanics to join the team in the Grafton Branch Workshop or Field Service for the Coffs Harbour district!

A Plant Mechanic role with WesTrac will see you utilising your diagnostic skills to troubleshoot, repair and service a range of Caterpillar equipment for OEM customers, our technicians work to provide a service like no other in these Field Service or Workshop based roles!

Proximity to site will be taken into consideration throughout the application process.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing repairs, maintenance and inspections on a range of customer equipment
• Diagnosing and reporting for preventative maintenance
• Providing solutions, service and satisfaction to our customer
• Documenting work and completing any required documentation
• Scheduling jobs and ordering parts as required

Roster - Keep your weekends!

• Monday – Friday, dayshift only
• 10 Hour Shifts + 30 minute unpaid meal break

So, what are we looking for?

• Cert III Mobile Plant qualification
• Minimum 2 years post trade experience
• Ability to work autonomously
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills, with a commitment to meeting customer requirements
