WesTrac | Grafton Workshop

WesTrac Grafton is seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic to join our growing workshop team.

As a Plant Mechanic, you'll utilise your mechanical expertise to inspect, maintain, diagnose and repair a range of Caterpillar construction and earthmoving equipment. Working alongside a skilled team of technicians, you'll play a key role in ensuring our customers maximise machine availability while delivering repairs and maintenance to OEM standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified mechanic seeking stability, ongoing development and the opportunity to work with one of Australia's leading Caterpillar dealers.

What You’ll Do

• Complete servicing, maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar equipment

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Conduct equipment inspections and preventative maintenance activities
• Complete repairs in accordance with Caterpillar quality standards
• Accurately document work completed and identify additional repair requirements
• Maintain a safe, organised and productive workshop environment

What You’ll Bring

• Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification (Mobile Plant, Heavy Diesel or equivalent)

• Experience working on construction, earthmoving, agricultural or heavy vehicle equipment
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and continuous improvement
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Current unrestricted driver's licence
