What you will be learning:

As an apprentice with WesTrac, you will develop practical skills and real‑world experience, including:

  • Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining heavy mobile plant equipment
  • Working with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Conducting inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Using workshop tools and lifting equipment safely
  • Reading technical drawings and service manuals
  • Identifying and rectifying faults efficiently
  • Developing strong safety awareness and work standards

 

About You:

We are looking for motivated individuals who bring:

  • 17 years of age or over by 25th January, 2027 
  • Be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident
  • Great communication, reading and writing skills 
  • A genuine interest in mechanical trades or heavy equipment
  • Driver's licence and reliable transport OR close to obtaining a driver's licence with the ability to get to and from work each day, and to our Guildford Head Office for training
  • Honest, reliable and a team player 
  • You must either be a resident of the area you are applying to or have made arrangements to live there permanently.
