Choose a residential roster that suits your lifestyle:

  • 9/5 – 9 days on, 5 days off (10 hrs + 30 min break)
  • 12/9 – 12 days on, 9 days off (10 hrs + 30 min break)
  • 2/1 – 14 days on, 7 days off (10 hrs + 30 min break)
  • 2/2 – 14 days on, 14 days off (12 hrs + 30 min break)

 

About the Role

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will support customers across WA’s Midwest region — extending west to the Abrolhos Islands, north to Exmouth, south to Cataby, and east to Leinster.


You will be responsible for:

  • Warranty, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Caterpillar equipment
  • Providing high‑quality field service support across remote and regional sites
  • Maintaining strong safety and customer‑focused standards
  • Working independently to manage a high volume of service tasks
  • Assisting customers to meet machine availability and reliability KPIs


You’ll be equipped with a fully outfitted Field Service Vehicle, including phone, laptop, diagnostic tooling, and full support from the WesTrac & Caterpillar network.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Perform field service repairs, diagnostics & scheduled maintenance to a high standard
  • Work autonomously in remote environments
  • Promote and uphold WesTrac’s strong safety culture
  • Support customers to achieve equipment performance KPIs

 

Skills & Experience

  • Australian‑recognised Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate
  • Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding ability
  • Previous experience with Caterpillar products (desirable)
  • Ability to work under pressure in remote/isolated environments
  • Minimum Light Rigid Driver’s Licence
  • Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to reliability and efficiency
