About the opportunity

WesTrac is currently seeking an experienced Plant Mechanics, Heavy Diesel Mechanics & Agricultural Mechanics to join the team in our Dubbo Branch.

You will be required to perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections on a range of customer machines. You will apply your high level of technical skill and expertise to carry out these duties. You will have a strong drive, motivation and direction to succeed and be able to work in a safety conscious environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine and component overhauls
  • Completing planned maintenance, repairs and servicing on all civil, construction and mining machinery
  • Trouble shooting and finding faults
  • Ensuring the safety of yourself and your teammates, being aware of your surroundings and not afraid to call out concerns

 

Roster and Remuneration

  • Roster: Monday – Friday, 10.5-hour shifts
  • Rates: From $41 per hour, O.T From $61 per hour

 

Skills & Experience

  • Heavy mechanical trade qualification with post-trade experience in a similar role
  • Familiar with Caterpillar Equipment
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements and providing excellent service
  • Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
  • Dedicated to maintaining safe work practices and environment
  • Ability to work autonomously
