WesTrac is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join the team in Dubbo!
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role will see you completing servicing and maintenance on a range of CAT equipment from dozers through to loaders & off highway trucks. Your primary focus will be inspecting customer machines for wear and tear, repairing or replacing faulty components, and implementing preventative maintenance to extend the overall lifespan of equipment. 
With a key focus on safety and continuous improvement, this is an excellent opportunity to showcase your mechanical expertise. 

Roster and Remuneration  

  • Monday - Friday, day shift only
  • 07:00AM to 17:30PM
  • Annual earnings from $120,000 to $150,000

*Rates above are a guide only and each candidate will be assessed based on competencies and experience*
 

What we're looking for

  • Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or Mechanical trade qualification with heavy industry experience.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar underground hard rock mining equipment highly regarded.
  • Experience rebuilding mobile mining equipment and/or components desirable.
  • Solutions-focused mindset with adaptability
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Unrestricted Drivers Licence.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet Caterpillar quality standards
  • Team player with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
