FIELD SERVICE PLANT MECHANIC | COBAR
Join the WesTrac team as a Field Service Plant Mechanic in Cobar.
Reporting to the Branch Supervisor, this role will see you diagnosing faults, performing routine maintenance tasks, and conducting inspections to ensure our customer machines are in optimal working condition. Specialising in underground hard rock mining equipment, our successful candidate will leverage their skillset to ensure all work is documented correctly, meets CAT standards, and adheres to site requirements.
As a skilled Field Service Plant Mechanic, you are expected to have a high level of technical skills, diagnostic skills and knowledge, along with a passion for CAT equipment.
Roster and Remuneration
• Roster: Day Shifts – 12.5 Hour Shifts, 7/7 (7 days on, 7 off)
• Accommodation and meals provided
• Hourly rates from $64+
• Overtime rates from $96+
Desired Skills & Experience
• Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade with underground mining experience
• Caterpillar product knowledge and maintenance experience
• Excellent diagnostic and repair skills and a strong commitment to service excellence
• Excellent attitude to your work, and dedication to safe work practices
• Ability to work autonomously in the field and in a team
• Current Drivers Licence
• Applicants with site bans are ineligible for Field Service Positions
