Resident Field Service Mechanic – Goulburn Region

WesTrac is seeking a highly experienced Plant Mechanic/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team and provide exceptional customer support throughout the Goulburn region.

As a Resident Field Service Mechanic, you will work independently to deliver top-notch service and breakdown solutions, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency for our customers. Your extensive CAT experience will be crucial in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing a range of civil CAT equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Proximity to site will be assessed through the application process.


Roster & Remuneration

  • Monday – Friday role, dayshift only.
  • 8.5 Hour Shifts
  • Tool of trade vehicle + phone + laptop supplied
  • Hourly rates from $52+
  • Overtime rates from $78+

*Above rates are a guide; each candidate will be assessed on skill and experience


What are we looking for?

  • Australian recognised mechanical trade - Cert III Mobile Plant Technology, Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Certificate III in Agricultural Mechanical Technology
  • Caterpillar product knowledge and maintenance experience
  • Experience working as a field service mechanic
  • Excellent diagnostic and repair skills and a strong commitment to service excellence
  • Excellent attitude to your work, and dedication to safe work practices
  • Ability to work autonomously to a high standard
  • Applicants with site bans are ineligible for Field Service Positions
