Plant Mechanic | Resident Field Service - Goulburn

WesTrac is expanding our Field Service team and we’re looking for experienced Plant Mechanics / Heavy Diesel Technicians to support customers across Goulburn.

If you enjoy autonomy, problem‑solving and working on world‑class Caterpillar equipment, this role offers variety, stability and a lifestyle‑friendly roster.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose, service and repair CAT mobile plant equipment in the field
  • Deliver safe, high‑quality work with minimal downtime for customers
  • Work independently across multiple customer sites
  • Represent WesTrac with strong technical capability and customer service

Roster & Benefits

  • Roster: Monday to Friday
  • Shifts: 8.5 hour day shifts
  • Vehicle: Supplied 
  • Potential earnings: $52.87 hourly to $57.91 hourly (assessed on skills and experience)

What You’ll Bring

  • Cert III Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent trade)
  • Experience working on Caterpillar equipment
  • Strong diagnostics and repair capability
  • OEM experience, SIS/ET exposure (highly regarded)
  • Ability to work autonomously in the field
  • Current driver’s licence
