Join the team at WesTrac as a Field Service Mechanic! Working from our customer site in Cadia, our Field Service Mechanics are responsible for providing diagnostic support for underground and opencut CAT equipment. An ordinary day on site could see you working on anything from R3000 Loaders through to 793 Off-Highway Trucks! With mine site experience, our successful candidates will ensure all repairs, preventative maintenance and inspections are completed to Caterpillar standards whilst championing a safety-first approach to everything they do.

 

Roster and Remuneration

  • Roster: 12.5-Hour Shifts, 7/7 (7 days on, 7 off, 7 nights on, 7 off)
  • Shift Times: Day Shift 06:30AM to 19:00PM
  • Night Shift 18:30PM to 07:00AM
  • Potential earnings from $123,000 - $162,000

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Australia recognised Mechanical Trade qualification
  • Previous mine site experience
  • Unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment (desirable)
  • Solutions focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirements 
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
