Be the organisational backbone of a high‑performing WesTrac team supporting operations at one of NSW’s largest gold mining sites. This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on administration role where your accuracy, coordination and communication directly enable safe, efficient frontline service delivery.

WesTrac is seeking a proactive General Administrator to support our team at Newmont Cadia, providing essential clerical, scheduling and workflow support across both operational and office‑based functions. You’ll work closely with technicians, leaders and internal stakeholders to ensure documentation, enquiries and daily processes are completed accurately and on time.

This role suits a confident administrator with experience in a service, workshop, mining or operational environment who is ready to step beyond general admin and build a long‑term career in operations, projects or leadership.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end‑to‑end administrative support including document control, data entry and records management

  • Manage incoming enquiries (phone, email, internal requests) and provide timely support to staff and customers

  • Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination and general office organisation

  • Prepare basic reports, update spreadsheets and support operational documentation

  • Maintain filing systems, office supplies and ensure smooth day‑to‑day administrative operations

  • Coordinate site access, inductions, medical bookings and compliance requirements

  • Liaise with internal departments to support workflow, information requests and operational efficiency

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency and customer experience

 

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in an administrative role within a service, workshop, mining or operational environment

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build effective working relationships

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong attention to detail and data accuracy

  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Pronto, SuccessFactors) is highly regarded
