Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, the Field Service Plant Mechanic will be responsible for, but not limited to carrying out warranty and customer repairs on a range of CAT machinery and associated products in a timely and efficient manner. This is a customer facing role, you will be required to offer support and advice, as well as carry out maintenance on the customer fleet.

 

 

You will need to reside in or close to Bunbury for this position. You will be supplied a laptop and mobile phone.

 

Location: Bunbury

Roster Options: 9 days on 5 days off, OR 5 days on 2 days off OR 2 weeks on 1 week off OR 2 weeks on 2 weeks off
To be successful the following is required:
•    Australian recognised Heavy-Duty Trade Certificate with post trade experience
•    Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in an isolated and remote environment
•    Ability to work and seek out work opportunities without continuous direct supervision
•    Previous post trade Caterpillar experience in a field service environment
•    Demonstrate strong safety values
•    Ability to organise work teams and delegate tasks
•    Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding skills
•    Must have Forklift ticket
•    Must have a minimum of LR Drivers Licence 
•    Caterpillar product knowledge and maintenance experience
