Your new role as the Plant Mechanic will be reporting to the Workshop Supervisor.

 

About Bunbury/Southwest

WesTrac Bunbury provides adaptable Caterpillar solutions from Mandurah to Albany. Our technicians handle diverse machinery, offering services, rebuilds, deliveries, and overhauls.

 

Location: Bunbury

Roster - 5days on, 2days off 10.5hrs (Inclusive of a 30mins unpaid meal break)

  

What you'll do:

  • You will be part of a team to complete rebuilds and component change outs on Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment
  • You will work on a variety of equipment which includes D10 and D11 Dozers, 992 Wheel Loaders, 24M Graders and a wide range of models of Off Highway Trucks (777F – 793F)

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Heavy Vehicle or Plant Mechanic Trade Qualification 
  • Caterpillar product knowledge, ideally component change out experience
  • Experience with Caterpillar Systems (ET, SIS, VIMS) desirable
  • Dedication to a safe working environment and quality work for our customers
  • Ability to work night shifts, additional hours and weekends/extra days as required to support the team 
  • Ability to work within a team & autonomously
