Reporting to the Group Manager – Regional Operations, the Branch Manager will join the team on a full-time basis at our Bunbury facility. This role provides financial and operational leadership of the branch, championing safe, high‑quality and efficient service delivery while maintaining strong customer relationships and alignment with WesTrac’s regional strategy. The position is responsible for managing service and parts operations while working closely with the sales team to proactively drive sales opportunities and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

 

Roster – Monday - Friday, 8.5 Hrs/Day (including meal break)

 

What You'll Do:

 

  • Champion a strong safety culture through proactive leadership, compliance, and continuous improvement through consistent hazard reporting and zero‑incident focus.
  • Turn regional strategy into effective branch plans, driving engagement, communication, and operational excellence across the region.
  • Lead branch performance by managing budgets, resources, KPIs and workflow efficiency to deliver strong commercial results.
  • Provide effective people leadership, building a high‑performance team and managing escalations and development.
  • Drive service and parts operational excellence through accurate work order management, WIP control and process improvement,  fostering cross‑team collaboration with support functions, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to meet key result areas.
  • Strengthen customer experience through proactive engagement, feedback actioning and strong cross‑team collaboration with sales teams.

 

Skills & Experience:

 

  • Tertiary business qualification, 8+ years in operational leader roles, and at least 3 years of leading large multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong operational, financial and commercial acumen with proven ability to develop growth strategies, manage budgets, analyse data, and drive performance improvements.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment industry segment and the ability to manage competing priorities in both team and autonomous environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, strong written and verbal communication with the ability to produce clear, accurate reports through advanced Microsoft Office skills.
