Reporting into the Workshop Supervisor, the Auto Electrician will carry out warranty and customer repairs and installation on a range of CAT machinery and associated products in a timely and efficient manner. This is a full-time role based in the Bunbury branch.

WesTrac Bunbury provides adaptable Caterpillar solutions from Mandurah to Albany. Our technicians handle diverse machinery, offering services, rebuilds, deliveries, and overhauls. With a diverse team and skill set you will have to maintain high focus on all safety aspects complying with WesTrac’s and our customers policies and procedures.

 

Roster:

5 days on, 2 days off – 10.5 hrs each day (inclusive of 30 mins unpaid break)

What You’ll Do: 

  • Perform scheduled and daily maintenance servicing and inspections of mobile mining earthmoving and ancillary plant equipment.
  • Providing support to our Tradespersons through the maintenance process safely and efficiently.
  • Report faults/defects and complete service reports using CAT Inspect.
  • Forklift operation as required.
  • Implement product improvement plan.

 
Skills & Experience: 

  • Australian-recognised Automotive Electrical Technology Trade Certificate with post trade experience.
  • Proficient in repairing and conducting maintenance tasks on heavy mobile plant equipment.
  • Proven diagnostics and fault-finding experience with the ability to interpret machine data.
  • Solid background in implementing system upgrades and component change out.
  • Proactive and can work well within a team environment.
  • Aircon ticket advantageous but not essential.
