About the Opportunity

WesTrac | Glencore Bulga Mine – Hunter Valley (NSW)

Due to continued growth, WesTrac is seeking two experienced Plant Mechanics to join our siteembedded team at Glencore Bulga. Working as part of a large, collaborative crew, youll perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of Caterpillar mining equipment in a safetyfocused production environment.

These are permanent positions on a lifestyle roster of 12hour rotating day and night shifts, working 14 days out of every 28, offering an excellent worklife balance.

Hourly Rates FROM $68.32 P/HR + OT FROM $102.48 P/HR + Super

For the right candidate, this role provides strong exposure and development as a pathway into Field Service.

What you’ll do

  • Scheduled planned component changeouts (PCR work).
  • Servicing, preventative maintenance and inspections.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnostics and fault finding.
  • Breakdown, corrective and warranty repairs.
  • Working collaboratively to meet production and safety targets.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant Technology.
  • Experience across workshop and mine site environments.
  • Strong diagnostic and repair capability.
  • High Risk licence, Forklift licence and Working at Heights.
  • Previous experience with Caterpillar equipment is essential.
  • Safetyfirst mindset and strong team orientation.
