Plant Mechanic | Bathurst

WesTrac is seeking an experienced and motivated Plant Mechanic to join our growing team in Bathurst.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for rebuilding, servicing and maintaining CAT equipment - including dozers, loaders and off‑highway trucks. Your role will centre on performing scheduled maintenance, overhauling key components, restoring equipment to peak operating condition, and ensuring all machines meet WesTrac and Caterpillar quality standards.

With a strong focus on safety, workmanship and continuous improvement, this role offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your mechanical expertise while working with industry‑leading machinery and technology.


Roster Options

  • Monday to Friday – day shift only with a potential 7/7 roster
  • 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or Mechanical trade qualification (Australian Recognised) with heavy industry experience.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar underground hard rock mining equipment highly regarded.
  • Experience rebuilding mobile mining equipment and/or components desirable.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Unrestricted Drivers Licence.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet Caterpillar quality standards
