WesTrac is currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our Bathurst Workshop.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Leading Hand will support their team and workshop, ensuring that maintenance and repairs are effectively coordinated. This position will set a strong example by showcasing attention to detail, efficient work planning, and proactive problem-solving skills. With a commitment to customer satisfaction, this role will involve encouraging and motivating your team to achieve high productivity and efficiency, with a focus on safety and delivering high quality work.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a large variety of Cat machines from mining trucks to dozers, excavators and graders. There has never been a better time to join WesTrac as a leading hand! 

 

Roster and Remuneration

  • 5 Days On, 2 Days Off - 10.5 hour shifts
  • Opportunities for overtime 
  • Potential earnings from $130,000 - $160,000

*Above rates are a guide; each candidate will be assessed on skill and experience

 

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a leading hand or leadership style role
  • Mechanical trade qualification (Australian trade recognised)
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar Equipment 
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
  • Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
  • Strong job planning skills Advanced job planning skills
