Field Service Plant Mechanic – Albury

As a Field Service Plant Mechanic with WesTrac, you will play a key role in supporting our customers by delivering expert diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across a broad range of CAT machinery. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will put your technical capability to work - identifying issues quickly, performing high‑quality repairs, and exceeding our customer’s expectations.
In this hands‑on, you will apply your CAT expertise to minimise downtime, maximise performance, and uphold the premium service WesTrac is known for. With a strong safety mindset and a commitment to doing the job right the first time, you will help keep critical equipment moving and our customers operating with confidence.
Roster and Remuneration
- Monday – Friday – DAY SHIFT ONLY
- Shift times: 7:00AM – 17:30PM
- Phone + laptop + tool of trade vehicle supplied
- Annual earnings FROM $132,000 - $150,000*
*Rates above are a guide only and each candidate will be assessed based on competencies and experience*
Skills & Experience
- Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification with heavy industry experience essential
- Experience rebuilding mobile mining equipment and/or components is highly regarded
- A solutions-focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirements
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Unrestricted Drivers Licence
- Close attention to detail and ability to perform tasks to meet Caterpillar quality standards
- Team oriented with proven ability to meet set deadlines
