WesTrac are looking for a motivated Workshop Supervisor to join our Large Engines Team at the Component Rebuilds Department in South Guildford.

Reporting to the Area Manager, the successful individual will play an integral role in leading a team of trades people and overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the Workshop to meet Safety, Production and Quality targets for the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with the Workshop Team daily to ensure KPI’s are met and delivered, effectively monitoring work order management, job file movement, inspecting the performance levels of final drives required deliverables, provide technical guidance and advice, planning daily duties for the team and meeting with key stakeholders throughout the business.

Location: Perth- based at our Service Department in South Guildford.

Type of Role: Working Monday to Friday, Permanent Full Time, 50 Hours per week

To be successful the following is required:

  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate of professional qualification
  • Previous experience as a Leading Hand - desirable
  • Mechanical aptitude and Caterpillar experience - preferred
  • Project Management, Production, Agricultural, Mining and Equipment experience - desirable
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to effectively troubleshoot issues
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Engage, support and mentor team members to achieve development and performance goals
