About the role
Reporting to the Area Manager, the General Workshop Planner will use proactive methods of data collection, analysis and tracking to oversee all planning activities in line with resources and agreed timelines.
Working closely with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Workshop Supervisors and key stakeholders, this position will see you reviewing service quotations and orders before submitting them to tender as well as creating a plan for labour and workshop tasks. Our ideal candidate will have proven organisational skills, with a mindset of continuous improvement to assist the overall operational effectiveness of our General Workshop.
Skills & Experience
Production Planning experience within a similar environment
Demonstrated knowledge in working and understanding Equipment Maintenance and Planning/Scheduling concepts
High level of initiative and problem-solving skills with the ability and drive to follow through with required actions
Demonstrated customer service skills with an understanding as to the importance of effective Customer Management
Strong communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyse information and identify continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines
Desirable:
Mechanical Trade Qualification coupled with post trade experience
Caterpillar Experience will be highly regarded
