Due to an internal promotion, WesTrac are looking for a motivated Technical Trainer - Auto Electrical to join our team based at our WA Head Office in South Guildford in permanent capacity.

Reporting to the Lead Trainer Automotive Electrical Technology, this individual will be responsible for the delivery, development and evaluation of technical training programs for our apprenticeship program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality training that achieves course participant evaluation results in the 75 –100% range
  • Increase the range of technical training programs which can be delivered
  • Develop and upgrade training materials to WesTrac Institute RTO standards
  • Continually improve skills, knowledge and experiences to ensure they remain current
  • Maintain frequent and collaborative technical relationships with the support teams to ensure training is current and accurate.
  • Take part in mapping and assessment validation activities

To be successful the following is required:

  • Possess relevant qualifications in AUR30316 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical or equivalent
  • Hold a current training and assessment qualification TAE40116, or ability to undertake it successfully
  • Solid experience working with apprentices in industry
  • Understanding and experience of the operations of an RTO
  • Ability to build strong internal and customer relationships
  • Experience with personal computer technology, including Power Point presentations, word-processing, Excel, and the ability to learn new systems, i.e. aXcelerate Student Management System
