About the role

WesTrac is seeking a dedicated, energetic & goal orientated leader to join our team based in our state of the art facility in Tomago.

We are looking for someone with a strong drive, who has direction to succeed through team motivation and leadership. As the successful applicant you will demonstrate previous experience in an engineering based workshop focusing on the following;

  • CNC and manual lathes
  • CNC horizontal and vertical borers
  • CNC milling
  • CNC large engine block machining (F107 Rottler Milling machine)
  • Crankshaft grinding
  • Cylindrical grinding
  • General machining 

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the team leader position will be working a 50 hour week, working a two week rotation of day shift, followed by a two week rotation of afternoon shift. 

Skills & Experience

  • Mechanical Trade qualification
  • Previous experience leading and mentoring a team
  • Motivation and direction to succeed whilst working in a safety conscious environment
  • Previous exposure to an engineering based workshop
