Job Details
Based in our South Guildford office, the Technical Training Writer will be reporting to the L&D Technical Training Manager for a 12-month project. This role is accountable for managing the project to review, update and develop training, including curriculum documents, lesson plans, activities and assessment guides to meet adult learning needs. As well as providing coaching and advice to subject matter experts and trainers on style and structure of material to meet learning objectives whilst maintaining business communication and document control requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Using WesTrac’s style guide to develop, review and produce programs to meet technical and equipment training needs
Provide coaching and guidance to subject matter experts and trainers on adult learning principles, style guide and business requirements
Provide instructional design of technical training for knowledge, skills, motivation and habits to build a capable workforce
Our ideal candidate is passionate about learning, development and growth, is highly organised, has great attention to detail and is capable of building great stakeholder management to run this project. This person will be creative, always be thinking ahead, able to see the big picture and the interdependencies and excited about solving challenges and coaching subject matter experts. Being very tech savvy, able to streamline and simplify where possible technical material for a range of learners, and a motivated self-starter who is flexible, fearless, fun and excited to build world class training programs.
To be successful in the role you will have 3-5 years’ experience in training design, writing or marketing.
