A great opportunity is available to work for WesTrac, one of the largest authorised Caterpillar dealers in the world, as a Field Service Plant Mechanic servicing or Marine & Earthmoving clients. Reporting to the Area Manager, based from our South Guilford Branch, roster will be 5:2 from Monday to Friday, working 10.5 hour days (inclusive of a 30 minute meal break).
Job Duties:
Represent WesTrac as the single point of contact for the customer and act as the conduit between the technicians and other stores regarding any request for service, repairs and other general queries
Establish and maintain an effective customer relationship that promotes WesTrac as the service provider of choice
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required to ensure ongoing and future customer requirements are met whilst maintaining value to WesTrac
Provide repair and service solutions/options in consultation with the workshop and/or Sales and Parts Department to ensure WesTrac remains Customer Solution Focused and customer expectations are met and/or exceeded
Complete root cause analysis for section reworks to ensure appropriate action is implemented to prevent reoccurrences
Review and assist with Failure Analysis Reports and determine corrective action
Review Technician Productivity Report and take appropriate action when targets are not being achievedProvide accurate quote analysis and generation in accordance to the customer requirements utilising the appropriate quoting tools available
Be available after hours (via mobile) to assist customers/technicians as required
Essential Criteria:
Previous Marine & Earthmoving CAT Field Service Experience
Trade Certificate with a minimum of 8 years post trade experience
Demonstrated understanding as to the importance of effective Customer Management
Previous experience within a leadership capacity
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to successfully manage fluctuating workloads and prioritise accordingly
Highly developed communication skills (interpersonal, written and verbal)
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to absorb technical information quickly
Intermediate computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office)
Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to enable effective resolution of issues within the workplace and/or customer disputes
Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
