To support continue supporting our stakeholders in their operating of Autonomous mining fleets we are recruiting for a Technology Area Manager role. Reporting to the Technology Service Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational performance of the onsite support teams. The focus of this role is to provide leadership, mentoring and direction to Operational Supervisors and engage clients to understand and respond to their requirements.  Ensuring safety, quality and efficiency are of the highest standard throughout the team, resulting in exceptional customer satisfaction.

Integral to this position is the requirement to effectively manage the ‘cost centre’ by ensuring effective and efficient execution of Operational Plans, by means of achieving throughput deliverables whilst proactively driving and maintaining desired quality standards within the area.

Role Requirements: 

The principal purpose of this role is leadership of assigned service supervisors and technicians, creating a positive culture focused on being a successful business in all aspects.

Please note that substantial previous demonstrated experience attained within contemporary large scale mobile mining fleet environments, preferably with Caterpillar mining equipment, is essential.

Additionally, you will have…

• Previous experience as an Operations Supervisor or Manager, preferably with a Caterpillar dealer
• Demonstrated ability to inspire, coach and mentor Supervisors and Technicians in the field
• Ability to develop long term internal and external customer relationships
• Solid project, people, administration and commercial management skills
• Sound conflict resolution, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Mechanical understanding and comprehension of CAT products and services
• Highly developed commercial business acumen skills with the ability to successfully manage sales lead generation, profit and loss, budgets, data analysis and regular report compilation
