Position Purpose
Reporting to the Business Planning Manager (BPM) the Product Business Analyst will assist in the development of a business planning framework for WA Product Support.
Help define, implement and track agreed business initiatives to meet organisational objectives and support decision making.
This role will involve operational support related activity within the WA Product Support division including business planning, financial analysis, project work, interfacing with Caterpillar.
Role responsibilies include but are not limited to;
Assist with the development of WA Product Support Operations Business Plans to include initiative/project scoping and performance tracking ensuring a link to WesTrac strategic goals across short, medium and long term timeframes
Help collate and maintain a complete knowledge database of business operations planning initiatives and functions
Provide support in the analysis and documentation of complex problems, processes or procedures
Work with the BPM to report on agreed Cat service excellence targets
Assist in capital project analyses
Prepare high quality financial inputs into WesTrac’s reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes
Work with the BPM to enhance business reporting to support the delivery of WesTrac goals and objectives
Essential
Tertiary qualification (e.g. Economics/Business/ Mathematics/Finance or equivalent field) coupled with 2 to 5 years’ post qualification experience
Demonstrated experience compiling meaningful reports (e.g. market, business performance, commercial) and presentations (e.g. Executive, Board, workshop facilitation), suitable for a variety of audiences
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse and interpret reports
Advanced computer literacy skills - MS Office, internet based applications
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of quantitative and decision support software packages (e.g. Access, Business Objects)
Ability to work successfully within a team and also autonomously
Demonstrated ability to engage with multiple stakeholders at all levels across the business
Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet objectives
Desirable
Demonstrated experience with Cognos and SAP
Held a previous Business Planning or similar role
Demonstrated Commercial Experience, specifically within Heavy Equipment or related industry
Previous experience in large complex organisations
